Written Communication
My degree in Integrative Studies has taught me to Comprehend, think, and write as an interdisciplinary individual. What does this mean? I have the ability to research, analyze, and write on topics from a variety of different points of view depending on the intention. I am aware of biases in sources and am adept at locating non-bias sources. I am highly skilled at report writing, drafting standard operating procedures, and writing professional business correspondence.
Verbal Communication
Over a 20-year military career I honed my public speaking skills and learned to develop and deliver high impact trainings to audiences of varying levels of knowledge. I have routinely been a guest speaker at symposiums on leadership, maritime engineering, and pollution abatement. Finally, during my military career I served as translator at the NATO base in Stuttgart Germany. Speaking English, Czech, Italian, and Russian made me a vital asset in Iraq and Syria and has prepared me for success in international business.
Visual Communication
Through a combination of college, the military, and online courses I have become proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite in developing graphs, charts, and visual other aids. My background in drafting and manufacturing developed my skills in auto-CAD and schematic and diagram drawing.
